Viva Las Vegas! The City for Adults… Or Is It?

At the opposite end of the Strip, New York-New York Hotel & Casino is home to the famous The Big Apple Coaster. Reaching speeds of 67 MPH with a 180-degree heartline twist and a 203-foot drop, this coaster is guaranteed to get your heart pounding.

Maybe amusement parks are not really your family’s thing—and that is perfectly okay because Las Vegas offers far more than rides and casinos.

Across the street from New York-New York sits Excalibur Hotel & Casino, home to Tournament of Kings, a live dinner show featuring jousting knights, horseback battles, and medieval-style entertainment that can be fun for both kids and adults alike.

Are sports more your speed? Las Vegas has quickly become one of the newest major sports cities in the United States and is now home to the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. Built within the Black Canyon along the Colorado River, the Hoover Dam was once considered one of the greatest engineering marvels in the world. While it may not operate at the same capacity it once did, it remains an incredible place to visit. Guided tours even take visitors inside the dam itself, where you can see the massive turbines responsible for generating electricity for the surrounding region.

Of course, Las Vegas would not truly be Las Vegas without its world-famous entertainment.

From Cirque du Soleil productions to magic acts, comedy shows, concerts, and celebrity residencies, there is almost always something happening somewhere on the Strip. Whether you want to watch breathtaking acrobatics, laugh through a comedy performance, or hear your favorite artist live, the city offers entertainment for nearly every age group and interest.
